What the role is

Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences, and to contribute to the nation's development of its human resource.

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join the Exhibitions department as a Project Specialist (NSC Exhibitions) on a three-year contract.

The Project Specialist is responsible for providing end-to-end coordination across NSC exhibition project teams, NSC exhibition builders, and building construction and multi-disciplinary teams, monitoring project timelines and budget expenditure across various exhibition initiatives, whilst serving as the primary point of contact for Heads of Department to track status updates and development progress of NSC exhibitions.

What you will be working on

You will coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and consultant teams under the guidance and supervision of the NSC core team and Heads of Department. You will manage communication across all stages of project development, arranging essential clarification meetings and calls to ensure seamless collaboration between internal and consultant teams. Additionally, you will be tasked to project manage the overall build/fitout of exhibitions for NSC together with the various NSC project teams. You will coordinate the logistics and operational needs for exhibition projects to prevent potential bottlenecks during critical fitout periods. You may be tasked to project manage a specific exhibition project as well in addition to the main task listed above.

You will be responsible for overall project and knowledge management, including the systematic tagging and distribution of documents across projects. This role involves processing third-party contracts, invoices, master schedules, expense reports and authority approvals as required, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient workflow management throughout all project phases.

You will provide general assistance in creating presentations, overview/monitoring documents and project timelines as needed.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate should possess a Degree in Building, Project Management, Exhibition, Event, or Festival Management, preferably with 1-2 years of public sector project management experience and relevant project management qualifications.

Essential qualities include excellent organisational, verbal, and written communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail and superior multitasking abilities when effectively managing competing priorities, displaying exceptional initiative, resourcefulness, and determination with proven capability to coordinate multiple project components under demanding timelines and demonstrating adaptability and excellence in fast-paced, dynamic environments to consistently deliver superior outcomes.

The role requires proficiency in both independent and collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams, whilst maintaining adaptability, creativity, and a solutions-focused mindset.
