[LTA-CC] MANAGER, STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS & MEDIA RELATIONS
What the role is
What you will be working on
We are looking for an experienced Strategic Communications and Media Relations Manager to shape and execute strategic communication strategies to enhance public’s understanding and awareness of LTA’s initiatives and policies. This role focuses on driving impactful publicity and manage media relations including during crises.
What you will be working on:
Strategic Communications
- Develop and implement integrated communications strategies and plans
- Monitor and forecast the development of LTA projects and policies to identify and plan suitable opportunities for proactive and reactive publicity
- Monitor and analyse prevailing public sentiments on LTA policies and initiatives to identify potential communications gaps between the public perception and LTA’s positions and to propose necessary communication activities to bridge these gaps
Publicity and Communication Guidance
- Develop and prepare communication materials, such as news releases, presentations, and factsheets to effectively communicate LTA’s initiatives and policies
- Plan, pitch and facilitate media stories and interviews that help to communicate LTA’s publicity messages clearly and effectively
Media relations & crisis management
- Conduct proactive media cultivation and facilitate media access including on-site media management, press conferences and media tours to build and maintain strong relationships with the media
- Develop, anticipate and prepare public positions and responses to queries from the media on LTA’s initiatives and policies
- Maintain and execute crisis communication plans, including statements, briefings, and coordination with relevant agencies.
What we are looking for
- Knowledge in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally in public communications
- Strong set of writing and editing skills
- Experience with crisis communications and stakeholder management is preferred
- Understanding and interest in Singapore’s transport landscape is a plus
