The Government Partnerships & Engagement Group (GPEG) contributes to the development of a collaborative government that galvanises partnerships and engagement (PE) with citizens who are empowered to take action for a better Singapore. GPEG coordinates whole-of-Government (WOG) public engagement efforts and partnership initiatives to ensure robust policies, strengthen trust between government and citizens and encourage citizens’ civic participation.
GPEG comprises 2 key functions:
• The Planning and Development team drives WOG public sector PE strategies and initiatives, develops organisational PE capacity, and enhances the PE capabilities of public officers.
• The Singapore Government Partnerships Office is a first-stop for those seeking to partner Government. The SGPO facilitates interactions between partners and government agencies, and develops resources to enable these partnerships.

What you will be working on
With the Singapore Government Partnerships Office, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Guide a team in working with citizens and agencies to support ground-up partnership ideas and develop meaningful partnerships, for the benefit of Singapore and Singaporeans.
· Coordinate, implement and institutionalise systems, processes and structures to sustain and advance partnership and engagement across government and other stakeholders.
· Manage and build relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
· Drive programme delivery of citizen engagement outreach platforms.
· Assess and refine citizen ideas, pulling in appropriate partners and resources to bring these ideas into reality.
· Work with other government agencies to collectively build up capabilities and processes to better partner citizens and jointly implement ground-up ideas.
· Drive and manage the governance, administration and review of funding options and grant schemes to support citizen partnerships.
2. Develop a wider ecosystem beyond the government that can support citizen ideas:
· Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders that have synergies with GPEG objectives in ground up, community, and philanthropic spaces.
· Support the growth of these stakeholders such that they can play the role of enablers in a wider ecosystem that supports partnerships
· To develop the capabilities of civil society and citizens to lead and take action for their communities.
3. Lead and advise on major government engagements
· To design and execute major cross-cutting engagements with citizens for better policy and programme outcomes.
· To provide advisory to individual agencies that require help for their engagement efforts.
· To experiment with new engagement methods which can be adopted at larger scale.
What we are looking for
Experiences:
· At least 5 years of experience in fields related to government citizen partnership and engagement, or with stakeholder management.
Competencies
· Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
· Strong project management skills, with the ability to multi-task
· Ability to work independently as well as in teams
· Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders
· Proactive and able to handle new challenges
· Past experience in designing and executing government partnership and engagement
· Effective manager with a passion for developing people and building a strong team
