At Ngee Ann Polytechnic, our diploma in Arts Business Management is pivoting. We are moving beyond traditional arts administration to train the "Bilingual Strategists" of tomorrow—leaders who can navigate both the cultural and commercial realities of the Experience Economy. We foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment, connecting students with commercial industry partners and providing them with real-world experiences in scaling and monetizing the arts.
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the arts, cultural, and entertainment sector by guiding and mentoring our students to be financially sustainable and data-fluent.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Curriculum Development & Delivery Curriculum development, course delivery (face-to-face/online) and project supervision for youth and adult learners in the following areas:
Commercial Strategy in Arts & Entertainment (focusing on revenue models, scalability, and monetization of creative IP)
Audience Data Analytics for the Cultural Sector (using tools like Tableau/PowerBI to analyze visitor behavior and trends)
Digital Revenue Strategy for Creative Businesses (Performance Marketing, E-commerce, Dynamic Pricing for ticketing/events)
Applied AI for Creative Productivity (Workflow automation and Generative AI application in an arts context)
Partnerships & Business Development in the Experience Economy
Operational & Strategic Responsibilities
Able to teach at least one evening or weekends in the week.
Lead and identify new opportunities, initiatives, and collaborations with industry stakeholders (specifically in the Commercial Arts, Entertainment, and Tech sectors), related government agencies & institutes of higher learnings.
Be up to date with the latest developments in the arts and entertainment sector, specifically in the areas of business models, entrepreneurship, and creative technology.
Manage administrative work related to teaching and assigned projects.
What we are looking for
A relevant tertiary qualification in Arts Management, Business, Data Analytics, or Marketing, coupled with direct and demonstrable experience within the Arts, Entertainment, or Creative Industries.
Note: Candidates with pure corporate backgrounds must demonstrate a strong portfolio or professional involvement in the arts/culture/ entertainment sector.
Ability to confidently teach and contribute to the development of curriculum across a range of arts business and digital strategy subjects, demonstrating a flexible and adaptable approach.
Experience in Data Visualization, Digital Marketing tools, and/or AI workflows is essential.
An agile team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Project/time management and attention to detail.
A tenacious attitude with a growth mindset
