The Registries of Patents, Designs and Plant Varieties (PDPVP) supports IPOS’ vision by building and maintaining a top-ranked IP regime in the world.

What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities You will – • Assist the Head of Operations in leading a part of Patents, Designs and Plant Varieties Registries operations, including management of operational budgets and development of annual workplans to ensure strategic alignment and resource optimisation. • Lead a team of officers to ensure operational excellence and quality standards in day-to-day processes, including adoption of digital tools. • Manage integration between Registry system and partner systems to ensure business requirements are met and introduce enhancements to improve performance. • Support implementation of policy or legislative changes by adapting operational procedures and training team members on new requirements. • Assist in establishing and maintaining quality control frameworks and performance standards across Registry operations, utilising customer feedback mechanisms, stakeholder consultations and performance metrics to continuously monitor and enhance service quality. • Develop and implement quality improvement programmes based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous enhancement of services. • Assist in change management initiatives, including internal and external stakeholder communication, and user adoption strategies for initiatives and digital transformation projects. • Assist in workforce transition planning.

What we are looking for

Write to us if you have/are: • 5 to 7 years of experience in operations management, with proven track record in strategic planning and delivering measurable operational improvements. • Experience supervising operational teams and ensuring quality standards. • Strong performance management and team supervision skills with data analysis capabilities for operational insights. • Experience in legislative implementation of policies and policy implementation with procedural change management. • Experience in digital transformation and change management. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills • Background in intellectual property, especially in Patents and Registered Designs, is advantageous but not essential.
