What the role is

The Surveillance & Enforcement Division (SED) serves as the investigation and enforcement arm of the Ministry of Health. SED enforces various acts under the Ministry's purview to ensure compliance with the Ministry's legislation and regulatory standards. Digital forensics plays a crucial role in generating leads for investigators to track down criminals and uncover digital evidence to support their prosecution. The officer will join the Digital Forensics team within the Surveillance & Enforcement Division, which conducts digital forensics investigations including data acquisition, evidence recovery, and forensic examination of digital devices in support of investigations and prosecutions. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with the management of the forensics laboratory and its supporting infrastructure, as well as identifying new technologies to enhance forensic analysis. You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What you will be working on

You will be required to: • Conduct digital forensics examinations of devices and networks, ensuring legal compliance and proper evidence handling • Prepare court-ready forensic reports and provide expert testimony to support investigations • Manage forensic laboratory tools, systems, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures • Keep abreast of emerging technology and threat awareness through continuous professional development and contribute to staff training • Establish and maintain operational collaboration with other enforcement agencies.

What we are looking for

Job Requirements • Tertiary Education, preferably in Digital Forensics, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or any other relevant discipline. • Minimum of 2–5 years of professional experience in digital forensics, incident response, or cybersecurity. • Proficiency with industry standard forensic tools such as Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM, Autopsy/Sleuth Kit, Oxygen Forensic Detective, EnCase, FTK, MSAB XRY etc. • Ability to acquire and analyze data from Computers (Windows, macOS, Linux), mobile devices (iOS, Android), cloud environments, network storage, memory dumps, volatile data and Internet-of-Thing’s devices. • Possess a good understanding of forensic artefacts in operating systems, file systems, data recover technology and forensic investigation procedures. • Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to enhance forensic workflows. • Experience in lab management, forensic acquisition, analysis, and reporting of digital evidence. • Possess of professional certifications or industry-recognised qualification related to Digital Forensics such as Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA), Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner (MCFE), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), GIAC Advance Smartphone Forensics (GASF), GIAC Certified Battlefield Forensics and Acquisition (GBFA), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) or GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) would be advantageous. • Meticulous with strong analytical, planning and conceptual skills. • Possess strong writing and good communication skills • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team. • Effective team player with strong initiative. • Self-motivated, driven and willingness to take up new challenges or additional responsibilities with keen interest in ongoing learning and professional development. • Possess high standards of professionalism, personal discipline and integrity. • Able to thrive under pressure and appreciate a dynamic environment with constant new challenges.
