What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be involved in developing AI solutions to build a system for processing appeals received under the Points Demerit System to better inform decisions made on appeals from food businesses.
This will include making use of plug-and-play AI tools to create a repository and templates to track and improve efficiency of appeal case management.
You will also have opportunities to be involved in aspects of food safety regulatory policy e.g. revising legislation, or forming operational policy.
What we are looking for
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of and familiarity with creating and using AI tools
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to customise AI tools and consider user perspectives will be an added advantage
Period of Internship: 1 May 2026 - 31 Aug 2026
