What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be involved in researching and developing policy options to address second-hand tobacco smoke exposure.
This includes conducting literature reviews, organising research findings, and assisting with the development of materials to support policy-making. You will be required to prepare papers that summarise key insights from research, monitor relevant policy developments and public health trends, support stakeholder engagement, and translate findings to practical policy recommendations.
You will also have opportunity to work with academic researchers on behavioral insights research and learn how evidence informs public health policy decisions.
What we are looking for
1. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
2. Ability to conduct literature reviews and synthesise information clearly.
3. Ability to analyse and summarise academic and policy documents effectively and efficiently.
4. Proficient in using productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations.
5. Ability to work independently, with guidance from supervisors
6. Some familiarity and interest in public health issues, tobacco control, or related topics is an advantage.
7. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods or behavioral insights concepts is a plus.
