What you will be working on
The Private & Shared Mobility Division oversees the development of private transport policies, including private vehicle ownership and usage policies, and supporting the ramp up of electrification of land vehicles through the development of incentives, charging infrastructure and the broader ecosystem. Shared Mobility oversees the development of policies encompassing active mobility, Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and Point-to-Point transport, and shapes the future of Singapore’s transportation. We need to develop new regulations, norms, and capabilities to support the growth of our transport system to meet growing connectivity needs without running up against constraints of land, labour and carbon.
You will formulate, review and facilitate the implementation of private mobility policies. You will support the Political Leadership and Senior Management to develop and implement policies on private mobility in Singapore, while collecting and analysing data to identify trends.
In the course of your work, you will establish effective channels of communication with key stakeholders, such as other Government agencies, transport operators, transport suppliers and associations, to facilitate transport service providers in meeting the population’s transport needs, and to convey broader strategic directions that will impact on their planning and operations. You will address feedback, appeals, requests and concerns from MPs, members of public and external organisations.
What we are looking for
You should be a Singapore citizen, preferably with prior work experience in the fields of public policy, research, futures, consulting, or public sector experience in a strategy or policy analysis role or in the transport or infrastructure sector.
Candidates should possess good verbal communication and interpersonal skills; display intellectual curiosity and a sense of imagination and creativity, especially in the area of sustainability; and be confident of handling open-ended, qualitative and quantitative research on issues.
