What the role is

Supporting Singapore’s International Climate Action Presence at COP31 - Pavilion Planning

What you will be working on

You will be part of the core team supporting Singapore’s preparations for the COP31 Singapore Pavilion in Türkiye. This internship offers hands-on exposure to international climate diplomacy, large-scale event planning, and strategic communications. This opportunity will allow you to experience how policy work translates to international climate action. Your work will be to assist in concept development, narrative planning, and thematic design for the Singapore Pavilion, ensuring that its overall storyline, visual identity, and strategic messaging align with Singapore’s climate priorities. This specific role will focus on planning and curating the overall design and topline messaging for the Pavilion, as well as working closely with other Singapore Government agencies and external partners and vendors to coordinate and translate the broad design and messaging concept into reality. The topline design and planning will need to incorporate broader Pavilion themes (in line with thematic guidance from COP31 host and UNFCCC organising secretariat) alongside programming consideraitons, to coherently encompass a wide variety of programme elements (fireside chats, panel discussions, MoU signings, and high-level ministerial events). Beyond planning, you will support end-to-end Pavilion operations, including events management, and logistics coordination. This also covers finance and procurement processes, vendor liaison, budget tracking, and ensuring compliance with government procurement rules. These operational responsibilities provide hands-on experience in managing a large-scale international event from planning through implementation.
