What the role is:

You will ensure the integrity and effectiveness of NAC's grant schemes through meticulous administration and monitoring. This role is essential to maintaining robust grants governance while collecting critical data that shapes future funding decisions and maximises impact across Singapore's arts ecosystem. Your work directly contributes to strengthening the arts sector by ensuring public funds are used appropriately and effectively.

What you will be working on

What you will be working on: 

  • Grant Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor project progress of successful grant applications, follow up on overdue projects and ensure grant deliverables are met by verifying applicants’ claims. 

  • Claims Processing: Verify project actual expenditure by reviewing supporting documents, including but not limited to receipts, bank transactions. Process grant claims accurately and ensure timely disbursement of approved funds 

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather comprehensive project data including expenditure breakdowns, audience numbers, and outcome metrics for cost-norming and impact measurement purposes. Perform basic data analysis on the data collected. 

  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with grant recipients and handle public enquiries regarding grant processes and requirements with clarity and efficiency. 

  • Risk Management: Identify potential fraud risks and irregularities in grant claims, escalating concerns appropriately whilst maintaining confidentiality and due process. 

What we are looking for

What we are looking for: 

  • Preferably with at least 2 years of working experience in administrative experience or claims processing experience. 

  • Entry level applicants are welcomed if they demonstrate key competencies in areas highlighted in the job description. 

  • Strong attention to detail to identify inconsistencies and potential irregularities in financial documentation. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and perform basic data analysis. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction. 

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Background in arts administration or cultural sector grants preferred. 

  • Knowledge of public sector financial procedures and governance requirements preferred.
