What the role is

[LTA-FIN] DEPUTY/ASSISTANT MANAGER, CORPORATE FINANCE (FINANCIAL EVALUATION)

What you will be working on

You will be part of a progressive Corporate Finance (CF) Division team overseeing credit evaluation, cash and investment, foreign currency hedging and bonds issuance. This position allows you to develop your financial expertise while contributing to the development of Singapore’s transport ecosystem.

The key responsibilities of the Financial Evaluation team include but are not limited to:

1, Play a pivotal role in the financial health analysis of LTA’s contractors and service providers by performing financial evaluation and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures, if required.

2. Utilise automation tools to consolidate and provide monthly updates to management via dashboard maintained by the team.

3. Review and streamline LTA’s evaluation framework; digitalisation of work processes; and partner other divisions to provide sound financial advice (e.g., analysing cashflow projections and NPV analysis).

4. Support our finance transformation and digitalisation efforts utilising data analytics tools and AI.

5. Contribute to the development and implementation of effective governance through instituting effective financial policies and internal controls.

What we are looking for

  • Knowledge in Accountancy, Business, Finance, Economics, or other relevant discipline.
     

  • Strong interest in financial statement analysis or credit evaluation with prior related experience preferred but not required.
     

  • Analytical with good problem-solving skills, excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
     

  • Proficient in minimally Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
     

  • Keen interest and/or experience with adopting tools to automate (e.g., UiPath), digitise, or improve processes (e.g., Power BI, Python).
     

  • Good knowledge of public sector finance policies and procedures is advantageous.
     

  • Ability to work independently and adhere to timelines.
