Established in 1987 under the Public Transport Council Act (Cap 2598), we operate within the ambit of the Public Transport Council Act and in accordance with overarching public transport policies.

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of a team responsible for the public transport fare policy review, as well as carrying out the regulatory and licensing functions of the Public Transport Council. This will include engaging stakeholders and industry players to develop policy options to ensure fare affordability and financial sustainability for the public transport system, performing statistical analysis, drafting policy papers and reviewing legislation. You will also work with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of policies, work closely with other government agencies and regulated entities to be effective in the role.
What we are looking for
Requirements
- Preferably training in Economics or any related discipline.
- Keen interest or experience in economics or finance, and practical experience in formulation and development of public policies.
- Preferably with knowledge and experience in statistical analysis and/or Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Meticulous with strong analytical, writing and presentation skills.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, work independently and with others under pressure
