This information helps us estimate the value of Singapore's capital stock, which is important for understanding investment trends and how productive our economy is.

What you will be working on
The intern selected for this project will be involved in two workstreams:
(i) Support the review and update of the typical lifespans of different capital assets in Singapore’s national accounts (e.g., buildings, machinery, vehicles). This will involve in-depth research on what other countries are doing, reviewing company financial reports, and using available data to support the findings.
(ii) Review and streamline the existing compilation of data on capital stock using Python, including the development of a dashboard to enhance the visualisation and analysis of the data.
What we are looking for
Strong research skills with an ability to gather, synthesise, and evaluate data from multiple sources. Proficiency in Python programming and visualisation tools.
Possess knowledge or experience in Statistics, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics or related fields
