What the role is

This project focuses on automating the statistical compilation workflow for the production of Singapore’s Balance of Payments (BOP) estimates using Python. Working with the BOP team, the intern will develop Python scripts to enhance efficiency and accuracy in handling the Excel files used for compilation, including reading data, processing, and outputting results. The intern will obtain a foundational-level understanding of Balance of Payments concepts as well as the underlying compilation methodology and workflow.

What we are looking for

Proficiency in Python programming. Basic understanding of statistical analysis and data processing. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Possess knowledge or experience in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology. Internship Duration: May-Jul/Aug 2026
