What the role is
What you will be working on
You will develop and implement comprehensive direct fundraising strategies to meet annual project needs whilst maintaining comprehensive donor databases and tracking fundraising metrics and outcomes. Your role involves cultivating and stewarding relationships with major donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic foundations, as well as identifying, researching, and qualifying prospective donors through various channels and networks.
You will be responsible for preparing compelling funding proposals, grant applications, and donor presentations, alongside planning and executing fundraising campaigns, donor events, and cultivation activities. The position requires managing the complete donor lifecycle from prospect identification to stewardship and retention, whilst reviewing and drafting partnership agreements, donation contracts, and funding documentation. You will also organise board meetings, manage compliance reporting and regulatory requirements of charitable fundraising activities.
Additionally, you will co-create marketing and promotional activities with corporate and individual partners and execute donor appreciation events.
What we are looking for
Areas of study in mass communications, marketing, business administration, or related discipline with 1-2 years of relevant fundraising or development experience
Proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, or business development with measurable results
Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills with ability to make compelling cases for support
Strong relationship-building and networking abilities with experience in engaging high-net-worth individuals and corporate decision-makers
Creative mindset with strong negotiation skills and ability to close funding commitments
Digitally savvy with proficiency in donor management systems, CRM platforms, and digital fundraising tools
Meticulous attention to detail in proposal writing, grant management, and donor stewardship
Highly motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial approach to identifying funding opportunities
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in team environments
Experience in major gift fundraising, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships, or grant writing will be a strong advantage
Passion for environmental conservation and demonstrated commitment to charitable causes preferred
