What you will be working on

Responsibilities • Process payments, receipts, journal entries, and investment transactions with accuracy and in accordance with established timelines and procedures • Review and verify financial transactions for completeness and accuracy, performing detailed reconciliations to ensure data integrity • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as directed, providing insights and recommendations where appropriate • Collaborate effectively with other divisions and departments, and respond professionally to public enquiries regarding financial matters • Assist with audit preparations and respond to auditor queries by providing necessary documentation and explanations • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor to support departmental objectives

What we are looking for

Requirements *Key Competencies* • [Financial Analysis] The ability to apply analysis tools and techniques such as data analytics on financial information to assess financial implications and financial viability. This provides value-added financial insights and points of view to support the organisation’s plans. • [Financial Operations & Controls] The knowledge of and ability to apply prevailing principles, policies, laws and regulations (such as Finance Procedures Act, Revenue Recognition Framework, relevant Instructional Manuals, Financial Circulars, Finance Circular Minutes and other applicable laws, regulations and internal and finance guidelines) in the execution of financial operations and management. • [Financial Reporting] The ability to prepare reconciliation statements by applying the right principles, standards and appropriate accounting treatments for accounts reconciliation. • [Systems and Data Management] The ability to administer financial operations by using relevant knowledge and applying financial accounting systems, management reporting systems, e-transaction portals and other IT systems and software. Knowledge on Robotic Process Automation would be an added advantage. *Personal Traits* • Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modelling • Demonstrated ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within team environments • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work outputs • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Positive attitude towards professional development with eagerness to learn new skills and contribute effectively as a team member • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and propose solutions Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1-year contract, in the first instance. #LI-SW1
