What you will be working on
- Assists Director and Deputy Directors (Youth & Sports) in overseeing the management, finance and operations of the Division.
- Supports and aligns the Division’s goals to meet the PA’s People to People, People to Government and Government to People strategic objectives.
- Formulates strategies, oversees the implementation and guide Constituency officers with Youth and Sports portfolios in their action plans and programmes for more effective ground engagement with the community and their stakeholders.
- Supports the Youth & Sports division with current youth and community sports development trends in Singapore, to ensure that PA’s Youth & Sports engagement programmes remain relevant to the current population demography.
- Oversees the planning of the Division’s budget and ensures prudence, control and proper usage of funds to achieve the Division’s goals.
- Provides leadership, direction and guidance to the various teams in implementing the programmes and initiatives and strengthening engagement with key stakeholders.
- Engages key stakeholders and identifies mutually beneficial collaborations to extend the outreach and deepen engagement with various youth and community sports communities.
- Engaging various micro youth and sports groups and bring them into the PA network to deepen PA’s outreach to the community.
- Reviews existing youth and community sports programmes, awards and processes for continuous improvement and alignment with PA’s mission, vision and objectives.
- Assesses performance and develops the potential of staff and facilitates opportunities for staff learning.
What we are looking for
- Represents the PA in external organisations in the promotion of youth and community sports development.
- Represents the Youth & Sports Division in cross-PA division projects and committees.
- Performs other duties assigned by senior officers.
