You will support Tamil Language Services (TLS) projects as an Tamil Language Services Intern under Collection Planning & Development.

What you will be working on

  • Supporting key TLS projects such as the Encyclopedia of Singapore Tamils (EST) and Sangam Literature Project.
  • Assisting with content creation, content uploading, and basic collection-related tasks.
  • Helping to prepare marketing materials and publicity collaterals for programmes and services.
  • Assisting with the distribution of publicity materials and tokens, including basic inventory tracking.
  • Supporting the planning and development of reading and literacy programmes.
  • Managing enquiries, registrations, and content updates for various projects and programmes.
  • Collecting feedback, compiling statistics, and assisting with simple report writing.
  • Liaising with internal and external partners for programme coordination. -Providing logistics preparation and on-site support for children, teen, and adult programmes.
  • Supporting both digital and physical programmes conducted between June and August.

What we are looking for

  • Open to students from all disciplines; students with a background in Arts/History or Tamil Literature related courses are particularly encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interest in content creation, reading programmes, and cultural or literary projects.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Comfortable with basic marketing, content uploading, and administrative work.
  • Willingness to support both planning and on-the-ground execution of programmes.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team and communicate clearly with partners.
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and open to learning in a fast-paced project environment.

Duration: 3 months
