What the role is

You will assist the Official Assignee / Registrar in the discharge of his duties under the Insolvency, Restructuring & Dissolution Act 2018, Moneylenders Act 2008 & Pawnbrokers Act 2015, particularly in enforcement and related duties.

What you will be working on

As part of the investigation team, you will be required to perform the following: • Conduct interviews with and record statements of the relevant parties for the purpose of investigating into offences committed. • Gather, review and assess evidence, and prepare reports on the investigative findings and recommend the appropriate enforcement actions in accordance with the prevailing enforcement framework. • Administer enforcement-related actions such as issuing warning, composition offers and assisting the prosecution officer for cases warranting prosecution. • Engage and coordinate with internal and external parties for investigation/enforcement-related matters. • Assist in policy, regulatory and administrative tasks with direct or indirect impacts on enforcement.

What we are looking for

*Key Competencies Required* [Collaborating Within & Across Agencies]: Understand statutes and regulations of own and adjacent agencies and how they contribute to whole-of-government enforcement outcomes and ability, and willingness to think and act beyond department or agency lines for public good. [Investigating & Gathering Evidence]: Investigate potential enforcement violations by collecting and analysing all evidence while considering facts of the case, and with an appreciation of different privacy laws, security standards, and frameworks across countries and jurisdictions. Ensuring all evidence related to the case are appropriately obtained, documented, processed, and stored in accordance with agency policy and procedures to support case resolution. [Manage & Process Cases]: Ensure each step in the case management process (including appeals and complaints) is carried out with integrity to prove the validity and minimise appeals/challenges. [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements]: Collect and analyse different sources of information to aid assessment of the problem at hand. Consider and evaluate possible solutions and propose the most appropriate one. *Personal Traits/Work Experience* • Academic training in any field. Prior experience in investigation and/or enforcement would be an added advantage. • Analytical mind, eye for details and good problem-solving skills. • Good written and spoken communication skills at least in the English language. Ability to communicate in multiple languages would be an advantage. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to work using IT applications/systems (e.g. case management systems). • Good time-management and effective monitoring of task progress in a dynamic environment. • Ability to work well independently and a good team player, prioritising on team/organisational success. • Ability in engaging and collaborating with stakeholders from within and beyond the organisation. Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1-year contract, with potential for renewal for another 1 year.
