What you will be working on
• Translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications and create actionable development plans aligned with MinLaw's digitalisation objectives
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews to maintain high code quality whilst ensuring strict compliance with government security, data protection, and accessibility standards
• Participate actively in technical decision-making meetings, providing insights on design alternatives and implementation approaches that balance technical excellence with product vision
• Conduct thorough application testing to verify both functional capabilities and performance requirements before deployment
• Maintain and optimise applications post-launch through troubleshooting system issues and resolving bugs efficiently
• Continuously enhance application performance and user experience through ongoing optimisation efforts
What we are looking for
• Proven experience in OutSystems development, including building and deploying applications on the OutSystems platform, with understanding of OutSystems architecture, components, and best practices
• Experience in translating complex business requirements into practical technical solutions and development plans
• Strong problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting, debugging, and application optimisation
• Experience working in agile development environments with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with government compliance requirements, particularly security protocols and data protection standards
Key Competencies:
• [Frontend Engineering] Engineer solutions that runs in browsers such as UI implementation with UX designer, state management, interaction with server APIs or load-time optimisation.
• [Backend Engineering] Engineer solutions that runs on server side such as the design and implementation of APIs, integration with other systems (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) or the usage of Government Tech Stack and middleware (e.g. Nectar, Apex, SingPass, CorpPass, MyInfo, EDH).
• [Mobile Engineering] Engineer solutions that run on mobile devices such as mobile app UI, mobile app logic and state management, hybrid app, Interaction with server APIs or the use of mobile device capabilities and features.
• [Cloud Application Engineering] Engineer solutions that run on the cloud (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) including the use of cloud services, and the implementation of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
• [Software Architecture] Engineer systems with the relevance in mind, while fulfilling the functional requirements of the system.
• [Data Architecture] Engineer data architecture to facilitate modelling, caching, storing and manipulating data, including data structures, databases, distributed file or object stores (e.g. HDFS, IPFS, S3) or caching (e.g. redis).
Successful candidates will be appointed on a 1-year contract in the first instance. Any extension of the contract will be subject to job performance and/or manpower needs.
