Senior Manager/ Manager SBG Facilities
What the role is
What you will be working on
You will:
Oversee routine maintenance operations, ensuring timely response to facilities issues and maintaining the high standards expected of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Manage a number of different contractors working in different trades concurrently
Work with colleagues from different departments in Singapore Botanic Gardens and NParks
Handle important infrastructural renewal works, such as cyclical replacement of air conditioning
Systems, irrigation and pump systems, lighting etc and maintaining heritage buildings and landscapes within the Gardens
Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, including initiating, tracking, compiling and reporting sustainability improvements in the Gardens
What we are looking for
Area of study in Facilities Management, Building Services, Sustainability, Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical and/or Environmental Engineering or a related field
Preferably with prior experience in facility management and sustainability work
Able to work in team environment, adaptable and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Conversant with current Codes of Practice, requirement of regulatory authorities and building regulations
Good interpersonal, communication, management and organisation skills and able to multi-task
