What you will be working on

1. Assist with planning, coordination and execution of events* organised by the National Translation Committee: * You may be assigned to support 1 - 2 of the following workstreams based on scheduling and departmental needs a. National Translation Committee Biennial Conference • Support end-to-end event planning from venue coordination to post-event evaluation • Assist with speaker liaison, registration management, and logistics coordination • Develop and execute publicity campaigns across multiple channels • Coordinate event materials, signage, and promotional content • Provide on-site support during the conference b. Citizen Translators (CT) Community Engagement Events • Plan and coordinate CT engagement activities and/or workshops • Manage participant registration and communications • Support workshop facilitation and networking session coordination • Gather participant feedback and prepare post-event reports • Create publicity materials and online posts for CT WhatsApp and Telegram channels c. Translation Industry Workgroup Focus Group Discussions • Coordinate focus group scheduling and participant recruitment • Prepare discussion materials and facilitate logistical arrangements • Support session documentation and follow-up communications • Assist with venue booking, catering, and technical setup • Compile feedback and insights for stakeholder reporting 2. Translate communications materials for national initiatives • Gain exposure in translation of Whole-of-Government communication materials 3. Any other duties related to departmental needs, including administrative, translation or project support tasks

What we are looking for

(Please indicate your period of availability in your resume.) • Knowledge and relevant experience in video-editing, graphic design, integrated marketing communications, event/campaign management   • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail  • Good communication and coordination skills  • Good time management skills with ability to multi-task   • Responsible, proactive and able to follow through on assigned tasks  • Basic research skills, including scanning sources, summarising information and compiling simple findings  • Good language and/or translation skills in English and Chinese/Malay/Tamil is a plus  Please note that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.
