What the role is

You will lead community engagement initiatives/programmes to enable active residents’ participation and co-creation through planning and execution of arts and culture programmes in the community. You will play a critical role in building strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance and promote collaborative efforts, and develop the capability of community leaders and volunteers involved in implementing community arts programme and scheme.

What you will be working on

PAssionArts (District Coordinator)

  • Establish good rapport and manage internal and external partners and stakeholders so as to facilitate, inspire and develop CACCs and other Grassroots Organisations (GROs) in implementing PAssionArts programmes at Divisional and GRC levels to make Arts and Culture an integral part of life for residents, fostering friendship among residents as well as building, bonding and bridging the communities.

  • Support the AD in working with the Group Constituency Directors (GCDs) and Constituency Directors (CDs) and their staff of assigned region to implement PAssionArts programmes and initiatives.
  • Attend meetings by the CACCs within the district and support them whenever necessary.
  • Build strategic partnerships with internal and external partners to enhance and promote collaborative efforts in PAssionArts programme and scheme.

Community Engagement

  • Lead and oversees the implementation of community engagement initiatives/programmes to enable active residents’ participation and co-creation process, which will be presented at Chingay and/or suitable PAssionArts platforms.
  • Foster strategic partnership with internal and external partners to enhance the programming of these initiatives/programmes to achieve social outcomes.
  • Monitor and make recommendations to enhance effectiveness of the initiatives/ programmes.

Partners Relationship Management

  • Build strategic partnerships with partners to enhance and promote collaborative efforts including identifying and developing new and existing partners.
  • Establish a good network of partners and stakeholders to support and identify new areas of growth so as to allow PAssionArts and Chingay to widen outreach and enhance engagement.
  • Engage partners at PA and ACD’s platforms, identify opinion leaders and engage them for communications and feedback gathering.

Capability Development

  • Support CACCs and officers-in-charge to build their knowledge and enhance their capability in community engagement through arts.
  • Build a shared repository/menu of resources (e.g. artists/art groups) that the CACCs can partner/engage to enhance the offering of arts and culture programmes that meet the needs of residents.

Knowledge & Skills

At least three - five years of working experience with exposure in grassroots organisations with good knowledge of the arts scene

  • Good written, oral communication (bilingual) and communication skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Meticulous and keen eye for details
  • Good events planning and coordination skills
  • Resourceful and proactive
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills
