What you will be working on
The successful candidate is required to:
Review economic regulation frameworks to ensure that appropriate economic incentives are in place for natural monopolies to operate efficiently and invest prudently in energy infrastructure.
Assess the regulated fees and tariffs charged by monopolies to ensure adequate recovery of prudent investments.
Review the regulated electricity tariffs.
Review the licensing framework to embrace new business models and new energy technologies, and assess licence applications to allow new entrants to the electricity sector.
Handle consumer enquiries and feedback.
What we are looking for
Requirements:
Education in economics, accountancy, finance, business or a related field.
Relevant experience in economic analysis and policy work. Experience in economic regulation of natural monopolies or large-scale infrastructure development is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
Resourceful, able to work independently and in a team.
Able to work under tight timelines and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
Positive team player with a strong interest to shape the future of Singapore's energy industry.
