Manager / Senior Manager (Corporate Strategy & Planning) (Contract)
What the role is
What you will be working on
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate NParks’ climate-related inputs for whole-of-government climate initiatives and inter-agency working groups.
Support the development, coordination and submission of funding proposals to support climate-related initiatives.
Facilitate the translation of climate strategies, policies and guidelines into implementation plans
Drive and track the implementation progress of NParks’ climate masterplans, strategies and initiatives.
Review the effectiveness of implemented climate interventions, and work with internal and external stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure timely reporting of key milestones, issues and insights on climate-related matters to senior management.
Coordinate sustainability policy-related matters for NParks’ Sustainability Report.
What we are looking for
Areas of study in Environmental Studies, Climate Science, Sustainability, Geography, Public Policy, Environmental Management, or other related disciplines.
Strong interest in climate change, environmental sustainability and public policy.
Good analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with multiple internal and external parties.
Ability to plan, track and report on projects and initiatives in a structured and timely manner.
Prior experience in policy work, inter-agency coordination or sustainability reporting will be an advantage.

The level of offer will commensurate with applicants’ experience and track records. Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance. Any extension of the contract will be subject to work performance.
