Principal/Senior Manager - IT System (Blood Services Group)
What the role is

What you will be working on
Bloodbank Computer System Support
- Provide ongoing application support to blood bank computer system users
- Participate in the diagnosis and resolution of application problems encountered with the blood bank computer system
- Test system changes in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments before production deployment
- Carry out database change requests and configure algorithms in the blood bank computer system
- Generate reports from the blood bank computer system as required
- Provide IT-related supporting evidence and documentations for audits
Other IT Systems Management
- Support BSG's transformation efforts in digitalisation and automation
- Ensure that users' requirements for instrument interfacing are met without compromising data security
IT Risk Management and Compliance
- Identify potential risks and implications related to BSG's IT systems and recommend mitigating measures
- Understand and comply with IT Management Policy, Quality Management Policy, and IT security guidelines to ensure systems and processes are designed in accordance with these policies
- Maintain system security and data integrity through proper access controls and monitoring, and periodic reviews of user accounts and access rights for IT systems
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with other BSG divisions and HSA IT department to ensure IT systems and infrastructure support seamless daily operations
- Work with vendors on the maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of the blood bank application, including network connectivity and system interfaces
- Liaise with vendors to resolve critical and complex application problems
- Coordinate system maintenance and communicate downtime to users
- Participate actively in software enhancements, system upgrades, and new IT-related projects
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input as required
What we are looking for
- Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in IT system management, preferably in healthcare IT industry or government organisations
- Proven track record in system integration, document repositories, and data management
- Knowledge of IT security principles, data governance, compliance requirements, and document management platforms
- Familiarity with Whole-of-Government (WOG) systems and processes, and cloud-based infrastructure is an added advantage
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven applications in digital operations or digital transformation projects is an added advantage
