What the role is

You play a pivotal role in executing the full spectrum of Talent Management functions for all talents in an assigned Service Group/Directorate, strengthening the leadership pipeline by identifying and developing talents through structured programmes and strategic initiatives while ensuring success in attracting, developing, deploying, engaging and retaining talents.

What you will be working on

- Execute end-to-end delivery of MINDEF and Civil Service talent and leadership programmes - Serve as HR business partner to assigned departmental stakeholders and career manager for identified talents - Manage annual talent in-service nomination exercises, including facilitation of interview boards and follow-up activities - Oversee Centralised Career Management framework, including postings, secondments and confirmation in appointments - Support annual Central Posting Exercise for talent and participate in succession planning exercises with senior management - Develop individualised Route-of-Advancement and structured succession plans for talents - Manage mentorship schemes, organise engagement sessions with senior management and administer talent induction programmes - Oversee talent allowance administration, project assignments and Defence Merit Scholar programmes - Conduct analysis of talent attrition, retention and career development trends to provide actionable insights Challenge(s) - Effectively balancing dual roles as champion for talents and guardian of organisational policies and interests - Exercising sound judgement in complex and ambiguous cases while demonstrating keen organisational acumen - Managing expectations across diverse stakeholders when balancing individual talent aspirations with organisational requirements

What we are looking for

- Education in Business, Human Resources or related field - At least 1 year of relevant experience in HR or Talent Management is preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders - Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills with attention to detail - Proficiency in data analysis tools, automation technologies and HR information systems - Proactive approach to addressing challenges (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
