What the role is

The Jurong Lake Gardens - Partnerships, Programmes and Visitor Services team organises keys events and programmes for Jurong Lake Gardens, such as the Arts@JLG Series and Lights by the Lake. The team also oversees visitor services in the Gardens which includes guided tours, VIP visits, organised group tours, and other programmes for users to create a connection with Jurong Lake Gardens, which is the only National Gardens in the Heartlands.
In addition, the role oversees community volunteer engagement under the Friends of Jurong Lake Gardens, working closely with residents, stakeholders of the community to co-create programmes, events, and ground-up initiatives that strengthen community ownership and participation.

What you will be working on

You will be part of the team to conceptualise, plan, and deliver programmes and events across Jurong Lake Gardens. This includes:

  • Procuring and managing necessary services for events and programmes

  • Working with a wide range of private, public, and community partners to develop and deliver meaningful collaborations

  • Building and managing volunteer relationships to support events, programmes, and community-led initiatives

  • Overseeing the engagement, coordination, and development of community volunteers under the Friends of Jurong Lake Gardens, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and partner collaborations

  • Developing and executing publicity and outreach plans to support programmes, events, and community engagement efforts

What we are looking for

  • Areas of study in Events Management, Media and Communications, Public Relations, or related fields

  • Highly motivated individual with initiative, drive, and passion for project/events management

  • Possesses good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Able to balance working independently and in a team environment

  • Competent in Microsoft Office Applications

  • Competency in video production, photography and graphic design will be advantageous

  • Willing to work after office hours and during weekends and public holidays when required
