What the role is
You will be joining the Budget and Resource Planning Department within the Finance Division to plan, secure and manage resources needed to achieve NEA’s mission.
What you will be working on
Your key responsibilities will include (but are not restricted to) the following:
- Manage the end-to-end annual budget process (including budget planning, review of budget requests, monitoring of budget utilisation, reporting to management etc.)
- Evaluate funding proposals and provide advice on project funding and budget matters
- Partner Departments to secure project funding and budgets with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify areas to leverage on technology and develop capabilities to improve work processes
- Policy and process reviews to strengthen the governance and monitoring mechanisms and drive process improvements
What we are looking for
The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
- A Degree in Business, Accountancy or related discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in budget management and/or development project funding processes in the public sector is preferred
- Familiarity with prevailing Government Finance policies
- Highly motivated, meticulous, analytical and resourceful
- Excellent written, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Independent and a good team player
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office tools
You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
