Science Centre Singapore is seeking a Temporary Staff, Digital Communications & Marketing to join its team.
This role is essential in creating and managing digital content across multiple platforms, with a focus on social media engagement and event support. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing content themes, producing visual assets, and writing compelling copy for social media posts.
Additionally, the position involves liaising with internal teams, external stakeholders, and influencers to ensure the seamless execution of content during events, as well as supporting digital collaborations and on-site content requirements.

What the role is
What you will be working on
1. Content Creation & Production
• Develop content themes and ideas that align with the Science Centre’s objectives.
• Capture high-quality visual content, including behind-the-scenes footage, exhibition shots, and other creative visuals.
• Set up lighting, backdrops, and operate cameras/phones for content production.
2. Design & Copywriting
• Design graphics and templates using tools like Canva.
• Write engaging captions, headlines, and social media posts that are aligned with brand messaging.
• Proofread and ensure all content is error-free and consistent with brand standards.
3. Stakeholder Liaison
• Identify and reach out to potential influencers or brands for digital collaborations.
• Manage relationships with external partners to coordinate shared content.
• Oversee the execution of content collaboration agreements and ensure timely delivery.
4. Event Support
• Coordinate with social media agencies to ensure key content shots are captured during live events.
• Manage real-time quality control of agency content at events.
• Direct talent or guests during weekend events, ensuring content requirements are met.
5. Ad-hoc Administrative Support
• Organize and maintain digital files and content folders.
• Assist with report preparation and data collection.
• Provide general administrative support to the Digital Communications team.
What we are looking for
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative Media, or related field.
• Proven experience in social media content production (Reels, TikTok, photography) with a portfolio showcasing skills in Canva and CapCut.
• Strong understanding of social media best practices, algorithms, and engagement strategies.
• Experience coordinating with internal teams and external vendors/agencies for content delivery.
• Prior experience capturing live event content and directing photographers/videographers.
• Strong copywriting skills with attention to brand alignment and detail.
• Ability to anticipate content opportunities and innovate quickly.
• Comfortable with tight deadlines and supporting weekend events.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Passionate in digital marketing and content creation in a fast-paced, creative environment.
