Deputy/Assistant Director, Market Conduct Policy (Contract)
What the role is
What you will be working on
Singapore will take over as Chair of the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) in 2027. In that regard, there will be a series of four meetings and two conferences which will be held in Singapore throughout the chairmanship year. The ACMF Organising Secretariat (OS) oversees the planning, logistics, administrative aspects of the meetings to be held in Singapore. The OS comprises of functionally oriented teams that includes: (i) Programme, Social Events, Logistics & Operations, (ii) VIP Management and (iii) Administration & Budget. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team in one of the sub-committees listed above. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the OS ensuring that the key objectives for Singapore’s 2027 ACMF Chairmanship are met. You will assist in developing plans for these sub-committees, identify requirements and processes, and present plans for approval. You will also be in-charge of developing the team to execute these functions.
What you will be working on
a) Programme, Social Events, Logistics & Operations
Ensure seamless coordination between ACMF Secretariat, MAS Departments, event venues, and appointed Event Management Company (EMC) to organize and deliver objectives for Signapore’s 2027 Chairmanship year. This will include organizing events so that delegates enjoy an impeccable meeting experience in Singapore; and Provide enriching experience to delegates by presenting Singapore’s spirit of innovation and showcasing our cuisines, vibrant tourism landscape, and curate gifts/souvenirs designed by home grown brands/talents.
Some of the job functions include:
i. Work with internal stakeholders on the meetings/events agenda and organize supporting engagements
ii. Work with external stakeholders on meetings/events requirements including accommodation.
iii. Work with relevant stakeholders/operators to propose suitable venues and programmes for social events.
iv. Oversee the set-up of all plenary/bilateral meeting venues, registration/information counters, car-parking and all other venues related infrastructure matters for the event.
What we are looking for
- Preferably with related working experience.
- Prior experience in organising or managing major events would be an advantage. Proven track record in leading project teams to achieve set objectives and targets.
- Strong analytical, project management, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills. Able to interact and influence positively at all levels to deliver results.
- Committed, self-driven, a team player who works well with multiple stakeholders and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
This is a 1-year contract position. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
