What you will be working on

ActiveSG Ops HQ supports the Sport Centre Operations and ActiveSG in the operation planning and resourcing requirement during crisis management. The ActiveSG Ops HQ shall provide accurate, relevant, and timely information to aid in early warning and decision-making of the Sport Centre Ops (SCO) operations when required. Additionally, the incumbent is expected to lead programme operational execution and identify potential growth opportunities in these areas. He/she will oversee all key sport centre events from initial concept through to completion, providing support and conducting post-event analysis for the sport centre and management. The role also requires maintaining robust partnerships with Ministries, Grassroots organisations, PA and other entities, whilst reviewing their sporting and non-sporting requests to evaluate feasibility for sport centre support or collaboration. Role and Responsibilities: • Foster and maintain strategic partnerships between sports centres and PA/grassroots organisations, serving as a key relationship manager to strengthen community networks. • Evaluate and process non-sporting facility utilisation requests, applying established frameworks to assess suitability while ensuring compliance with public sector guidelines for non-partisan activities. • Assess and facilitate strategic venue utilisation requests, evaluating potential programme collaborations and partnership opportunities to maximise facility usage and community benefit. • Serve as the key relationship manager between sports centre operations and external stakeholders, orchestrating seamless coordination for partnership events and programme delivery. • Establish and maintain comprehensive tracking systems for all partnership initiatives, ensuring effective project milestone monitoring and timely deliverables. • Set up and operate the Joint Ops Command Centre for overall coordination, monitoring and reporting of major event activities at sport centres. • Assess requests and manage the deployment of resources during major events • Support in stakeholder engagement and coordination for major projects/ events. • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of projects and initiatives — from conceptualization and planning to execution and operationalization — ensuring successful delivery from start to finish. • Oversee and strategically manage the entire portfolio of sports centre event activations, from conceptualisation to execution, ensuring operational excellence and maximum community impact. • Assess and coordinate resource requirements across sports centres, optimising manpower allocation and operational support to ensure seamless event delivery. • Implement robust measurement frameworks to evaluate event performance metrics, tracking participation rates, participant satisfaction, and operational efficiency. • Develop detailed post-event analysis reports with data-driven recommendations, identifying opportunities for programme enhancement and operational improvements to drive future success. • Develop and provide administrative support and centralised coordination for Sport Centre Ops in key initiatives such as generation of timesheet deployment, sending of DUS booking reports to Wardens, Coordination of HQ driven initiatives (i.e., Les Mills Programme, HealthierSG, etc), and analysis of incident reporting and coordination. • Monitor real-time information and analyse data from multiple sources to maintain situational awareness and identify any potential issues or threats that will adversely affect Sport Centre Ops, such as Covid, Haze, Bomb Threats. • Use technologies and software to collect, process, and display information relevant to the operations they are overseeing and collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including zonal leads, sport centre management, to ensure effective communication and coordination. • Monitor the implementation of Sport centre operations policies/ processes for efficient operation of facilities based on information from various channels (e.g. guidelines, SOPs, feedback) • Ensure timely submission and renewal of statutory requirements by sport centres such as Fire Certificate, endorsement, and deployment of Fire Safety Managers. • Operate the communications, detection, and integrated systems essential for sport facilities management and operations. • Monitor the operation of CCTV surveillance and detection systems at the Control Centre and provide technical information and advice on serviceability and operational readiness of the sport centre.

In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following: • At least 5 years of proven experience and/or track record in relevant areas • Critical thinking using logic, data & qualitative reasoning • Team player with collaborative mindset • Always seeking out emerging new trends • Comfortable with leading negotiations with partners and stakeholders • Good communications skills (both written and spoken) • Good writing and presentation skills • Proficient in MS Office applications in particular Microsoft Powerpoint
