What the role is

As a grantmaker committed to creating meaningful social change through impact giving, Tote Board is seeking a motivated intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in data analysis, visualisation, and reporting, working with real-world datasets. The intern will develop analytical skills while contributing to Tote Board’s grantmaking work, including supporting the preparation of comprehensive impact reports that track and evaluate the outcomes of our grants. Through this role, the intern will gain valuable exposure to measuring social impact and communicating grant effectiveness to stakeholders.

What you will be working on

The intern will be required to:

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis using existing datasets to identify key patterns, trends, and correlations, and translate findings into actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Utilise visualisation tools such as Tableau to create interactive dashboards and compelling presentations that effectively communicate analytical findings to stakeholders.
  • Enhance reporting templates through seamless chart-to-report integration. Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate into effective visual representations.
  • Support additional tasks/projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in a relevant field such as Business, Accountancy, Computer Science/Information Technology, Data Science or a related discipline.
  • Have experience in RPA/Tableau and familiar with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Understand the principles, processes and rationale behind data visualisation and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to address analytical needs.
