The Department of Industry and Partnerships (InP) plays a pivotal role in fulfilling Singapore Polytechnic (SP) mission as a polytechnic for all ages and prepare our learners to be life-ready, work-ready and world-ready for the transformation of Singapore.

The appointee will be part of the team from Singapore Polytechnic’s User Experience Centre (UXC). He/she will support strategic partnerships, business development, and innovation efforts within the UXC team. The incumbent will be required to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to consultancy, project delivery, and training activities. He/she will assist in driving business development initiatives, oversee project implementation, and provide domain-specific technical expertise when required.

What you will be working on

  • Coordinate and executive with local and regional partners to bring in consultancy, project work, training workshop, pre-employment training, continuous education training short courses and programmes, business development and internationalization work with regional partners in ASEAN.
  • Coordinate and execute strategies in Design Thinking and/or Humanity-Centred Design framework with the team to grow Singapore Polytechnic as a thought leader in Design Thinking/Humanity-Centered Innovation regionally.
  • Coordinate with other centres/schools in business development efforts to bring in leads for consultancy and projects.
  • Ensure project continues beyond their initial scopes and identify additional opportunities within the client’s organization for strategic long-term partnership and collaboration.

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary education in design, user experience and/or user interface design or 2 years’ of relevant experience with good portfolio.
  • Positive, dynamic individual with the ability to oversee multiple project teams while maintaining performance, timelines, and team harmony
  • Proficiency with user research, user interviews methodologies, design, design thinking, and prototyping tools and methods
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to influence stakeholders and work well collaboratively and independently
  • Strong presentation and storytelling abilities
  • Strong eye for details and a deep curiosity to learn, understand, and make sense of data.
  • Highly adaptable, professional and resourceful, with the ability to manage diverse projects under pressure

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
