Description of Division:
The Probation, Reintegration and Gambling Safeguards (PRGS) Division works with offenders on community-based orders and youths in residential care through targeted interventions delivered in collaboration with families and community partners. The role encompasses case management across diverse profiles, from youth to adults, focusing on enhancing their socio-emotional development, building
social networks, and facilitating successful reintegration into the community. In addition, PRGS oversees gambling related social safeguards, funds support programmes for problem gamblers and their families, and serves as the secretariat to the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).

What you will be working on
Brief description of Job Scope:
As part of the Casework (Youth Homes) team, you will be responsible for the rehabilitation, protection and reintegration of youth placed in secure care at the Singapore Boys’ Home (SBH) and Singapore Girls’ Home (SGH). You will work with these youths and their family to strengthen their socio-emotional development and social networks and prepare them for reintegration into the community.
Responsibilities:
Your work includes the following:
• Case management: formulating and implementing care plans for youths under your charge.
• Conduct intervention programmes with youths and their caregivers in both individual and group settings.
• Work closely with stakeholders such as caregivers, school authorities, employers and community partners to address risks and needs identified.
What we are looking for
Requirements
a. Educational background in social sciences preferably with related experience;
b. At least 1 year of experience working in the social service industry;
c. Comfortable in spoken and written English as the position requires regular preparation and presentation of reports;
d. Good interpersonal and communication skills;
e. Good analytical skills and the ability to influence effectively;
f. A team player who can work independently; and
g. Self-motivated and resourceful
