As part of the RPG Protective Service (PSV), the Partner & Capability Development (PCD) division drives partner management and capability building to deliver effective protection services for individuals and families experiencing violence, abuse, or neglect. We strengthen coordination of common services and enable holistic management of services run by social service agencies and vendors. The division advances evidence-based and trauma-informed practices to better support both RPG staff and the social service sector.
Brief description of Job Scope:
The Standards and Implementation team oversees standards for domestic violence and protection cases through the development and implementation of assessment tools, intervention frameworks, integrated practice model and practice guide. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the team ensures that the tools, frameworks and practice guide remain current, effective and aligned with evolving sector needs and developments. The team also sets and implements standards for quality assurance for the protection ecosystem.
In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of the domestic violence practice guide. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders across the protection sector, building and maintaining strong partnerships. This position offers the chance to contribute to meaningful developments in domestic violence and protection work. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills and a good understanding of the domestic violence landscape.
What you will be working on
Responsibilities:
As a Manager, you will:
• Work with a team to develop and implement the domestic violence practice guide for professionals involved in domestic violence case management and intervention;
• Undertake project management to ensure the team remains on track with development and implementation timelines;
• Engage identified sector partners and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of the domestic violence practice guide with sector developments;
• Develop and implement operational processes and policies to guide use of the practice guide;
• Analyse domestic violence and protection trends, needs and challenges through data and ground feedback to inform assessment tools, the practice guide and service enhancements;
• Coordinate staff and internal resources, including leading secretariat support for workgroups; and
• Fulfil any other duties as required by the Division.
What we are looking for
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in social services, including direct case work, sector development, or policy work
• Experience in domestic violence and protection case work will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and project management skills
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Driven, self-motivated and able to multitask
