Senior Engineer/Executive Engineer, Catchment Planning

As an Engineer (Catchment Planning) in the Catchment & Waterways department, you will review infrastructure proposals, scheming of drainage networks and perform catchment control. Your main roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
What you will be working on
• Perform catchment control to ensure drainage and coastal infrastructures are put in place ahead of infrastructure developments for flood control
• Evaluate and reply planning consultations, infrastructure development submissions, temporary drain diversion works to ensure compliance with Code of Practice for Surface Water Drainage
• Engage Qualified Persons/Professional Engineers/agencies on drainage, coastal and flood protection requirements
• Review drainage adequacy and develop drainage schemes to alleviate flooding and to support infrastructure developments
• Work with agencies to safeguard and secure the land needed for drainage purpose
• Attend to feedback from stakeholders on drainage planning matters
What we are looking for
• Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• Independent, result oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills
• Candidates with experience in planning works would be advantageous
