Executive / Senior Executive, Research & Strategy (Planning)
What the role is
What you will be working on
Lead horizon scanning and strategic foresight initiatives to identify emerging socio-religious trends, conducting comprehensive analysis to inform MUIS's strategy, policy development and community engagement.
Drive knowledge management on research findings to enable accessibility, drive insights and monitor evaluation outcomes for executive decision-making.
Develop a comprehensive research and evaluation toolkit incorporating proven methodologies, impact measurement frameworks and analytical best practices to strengthen organisational strategic capabilities.
Oversee end-to-end management of strategic research and evaluation projects – including vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement, impact assessment – and ensuring deliverables align with strategic organisational objectives.
Build and sustain strategic partnerships with internal teams, external research institutions, national agencies and community stakeholders, to advance MUIS's research agenda and enhance policy influence and community awareness.
Prepare executive-level strategic briefings, impact reports and presentations that effectively communicate research findings, evaluation outcomes and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
What we are looking for
Tertiary education in Public Policy, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or related fields, with 2-5 years experience in strategy, research, policy analysis or programme evaluation roles.
Strong quantitative and qualitative research and analytical capabilities with proven ability to synthesise complex information into clear strategic insights, policy recommendations and impact assessments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare quality reports, engage stakeholders, and support strategic discussions across diverse audiences.
Good project management skills with good proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (including Words, Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience with research tools, evaluation frameworks, futures methodologies and data visualisation platforms is highly advantageous.
Self-motivated, adaptable, able to work independently and collaboratively, with a deep interest in and motivation for advancing understanding in socio-religious affairs.
Successful candidate will be appointed on contract basis.
