What the role is

This is a 2-year contract position as a Deputy Director in the CET Academy.

As Deputy Director, Strategy, Quality and Shared Services in Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s (NP) Continuing Education and Training Academy (CETA), you will lead two teams of officers focused on strategy for adult education, shared services including data, career services and administration, as well as academic quality. This pillar’s work steer the direction for our products and enhance continual improvement in their quality to grow B2B and B2C business.

What you will be working on

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Academic Quality Assurance and Enhancement

  • Review and manage NP’s academic quality framework and how it relates to adult learning and andragogy

  • This includes data monitoring and analysis to provide advice to schools and departments on enhancing the quality of their CET programmes

2. Formulate and execute strategic plans to support the national SkillsFuture movement and lifelong learning including:

  • Annual planning, tracking and monitoring outcomes for CET programmes

  • Developing the strategy for specific CET products, schemes, as well as type of learners

3. Guide the team on shared services delivery including:

  • Data analytics, data automation and storytelling which will shape the strategy pieces and monthly reporting to management

  • Career services, counselling and guidance for NP’s adult learners

  • Administrative functions including CETA’s finance and procurement processes

4. Work closely with the operational, partnerships and marcomms teams in CETA, and stakeholders such as schools and departments to enhance NP’s overall CET offerings.

What we are looking for

  • Possess at least 10 years of working experience at the middle to senior-management level, managing and leading a team of officers

  • Prior experience and training in andragogy, pedagogy and academic teaching

  • Leadership and managerial experience in strategy and planning, that leverages the use of data

  • Proven track record in engaging various stakeholders, building win-win relationships and fostering collaborations

  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across schools and departments, as well as different levels of staff

  • Fluency with data and analytics
