What you will be working on
• Annual review of starting salaries for MHA schemes (this includes reviewing the salary figures, updating the methodology as needed, and working with Home Team Depts to implement the changes)
• Implement starting salary revisions for generic schemes (review will be done by PSD, but job holder will need to work out implementation for MHA, including setting the one-off salary adjustments).
• Review salary-related policies for scholars, e.g. appointment salary for mid-term scholars
• Policy desk head for:
o Hiring-related salary issues, e.g. how salary should be determined for non-standard cases
o Sign-On Bonus, e.g. advise how SOB should be administered or recovered for non-standard cases
o Recruitment shortlisting criteria for MHA schemes
