Intern, Regional Economic Studies (RES) Programme

ISEAS -Yusof Ishak Institute
The RES programme focuses on a range of economic issues in Southeast Asia. Emphasis is on timely, policy-related research that is relevant to decision-makers as well as researchers. Key research areas are: macroeconomic developments in Southeast Asia; international trade and finance; geoeconomics; country-level studies on themes relating to socio-economic development; sub-national economic dynamics; ASEAN regionalism and its linkages with Asian neighbours. The programme publishes the tri-annual Journal of Southeast Asian Economies (JSEAE) and also hosts the Singapore APEC Study Centre, which analyses developments in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) process.
Under this internship, you will be expected to undertake the following tasks:
Assist in data collection, compilation and analysis
Assist in writing notes for RES meetings and seminars
Assist in editorial work
Requirements
The intern is not required to have prior research experience. However, they will be expected to possess good writing and presentation skills.
Internship Period: May 2026 – Aug 2026
