As a central people agency, PSD has put in place various initiatives to help the Public Service respond to the many driving forces impacting the future of work and HR. To help officers manage their career development and transitions in their public service career, we are looking for a candidate passionate in these areas to join us.
Reporting to the Assistant Director (Career Development and Transition), you will be part of the Workforce Development cluster in PSD.

What you will be working on
1. Develop and implement innovative policies, programmes and initiatives that facilitate career development and coaching for public service officers to enhance their employability.
2. Conceptualise, plan and organise new and innovative career development events and programmes to enable access to high quality of career coaching services.
3. Collaborate with Communications Cluster on communication strategy, branding and outreach efforts.
4. Provide support for the Public Service Career Coach Network (PSCCN), including:
a. updating the coaching database to ensure accurate and timely tracking of information;
b. prepare reports and dashboards to support decision-making and performance reviews;
c. organise professional development initiatives for coaches in the network such as peer-sharing sessions, coach development workshops, and recognition efforts to foster an active and connected coach community; and
d. explore suitable technologies to facilitate adoption and participation in the career coaching

The ability to develop and facilitate career development initiatives, frameworks and programmes for people to thrive in meaningful careers that support their individual aspirations. Equip public agencies with tools to support their employees’ development and career.
[Career Transition]:
The ability to design and develop initiatives to facilitate reskilling and to support a smooth career transition process for public officers. Identify and recommend appropriate career management resources available, which may include career counselling and coaching to identify needs and concerns, as well as knowledge of workforce development trends and the job market landscape. Strong in sourcing job pipelines, networking to build strategic partnerships for job placements.
[Working Effectively with Stakeholders]:
The ability to reach out, influence and mobilise stakeholders towards a collective purpose, engaging them to deepen understanding of issues and co-creating solutions together. Excellent in presenting and translating information/insights succinctly and effective in stakeholder engagement to obtain buy-in amidst competing priorities.

The ability to display care and empathy in how we serve, translate ideas and executive policies, and to deliver decisively and persevere through challenging situations.
Passionate about helping employees raise their employability.
• Having work experience in related areas including policy, human resources, career development, career coaching and partnership engagement will have an advantage.
• Resilient with a propensity to persevere.
• Resourceful and comfortable working in an ambiguous and fluid environment.
• Comfortable working with data and preparing clear, concise reports.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
