Senior Manager / Assistant Director (Cohesion & Security Research)

The jobholder will undertake research to further MHA’s understanding of threats to social cohesion within our society, which may disrupt law and order. The jobholder will conduct primary research, such as design and administer surveys to the public, as well as secondary research which includes performing literature scans, as well as monitoring and analysing local and international events that involve social cohesion. The main deliverables are producing research reports for the Ministry.

• Degree in Social Sciences, especially at postgraduate level in fields such as Political Science, Sociology, History and International Studies preferred. • Keen interest in current affairs, familiar with qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g. for administering surveys). In addition, good writing and analytical skills are required. • Good interpersonal skills to develop and maintain good working relationships with various collaborative partners. • At least 5 years of working experience preferred.
