You will join the Financial Reporting & Services (Ministries) Directorate which oversees the central finance operations and the administration of key AGD central systems. The Financial Reporting team is responsible for preparing the annual Government Financial Statements for statutory reporting to Parliament and addressing audit queries from the Auditor-General's Office.

What you will be working on
Your responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the GFS and other statutory or management reporting;
• Participating in FR’s key projects, including implementation of the Whole‑of‑Government Chart of Accounts (WOG COA) and subsequent maintenance of WOG-COA changes in NFS@Gov;
• Supporting month‑end and year‑end accounting closing activities;
• Carrying out analysis and preparing recommendations on accounting and reporting issues for senior management;
• Supporting financial system enhancements and operationalising policy or business requirements;
• Implementing automation solutions and process improvements to enhance efficiency;
• Engaging multiple stakeholders including MOF, Ministries and other agencies on reporting, accounting policy and systems‑related matters.
What we are looking for
Functional/Technical Competencies
• Tertiary education in Accountancy, Business, Finance, IT, Systems Management or any related disciplines.
• Conceptually strong in accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Good knowledge of automation skillsets like Python, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and coding skills is a plus, but not mandatory.
Generic Competencies
• Meticulous and good time management skills.
• Comfortable working in both structured and project‑based environments.
• Team-player with positive working attitude and a strong mindset for learning and growth.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and good communication and interpersonal skills.
