What the role is

As the capability development arm of the People's Association (PA), the National Community Leadership Institute (NACLI) equips leaders with skills to inspire and empower them to spark positive change and build stronger communities.

You will support the team in designing visual learning materials and digital content for the programmes and courses. This role focuses on translating learning concepts into clear, engaging visuals and improving the learner experience across programme touchpoints.

What you will be working on

  • Learning Material Design: Design and develop visually engaging programme guides, slides, and learning materials for programmes for staff, including translating complex and information heavy learning content into clear, structured and learner-friendly visual formats.
  • Digital Learning & Communications: Create infographics, visual summaries, and digital learning aids to support adult learning.
  • Develop Communication materials to enhance engagement and interest in programmes.
  • Learner Experience & UX: Support improvements to learner journey touchpoints through better visual communication and layout design and ensure consistency in user experience across materials.
  • Programme Development Support: Work with programme teams to review content, organise materials, and prepare resources for delivery.  
  • Design and format programme materials such as slides, participant guides, and visual templates.
  • Create infographics, visual summaries, and simple graphics to communicate key learning concepts.
  • Support the development of digital learning aids and visual resources for staff programmes.
  • Assist in reviewing and improving the layout, structure, and visual clarity of existing learning materials.
  • Prepare and organise content and resources for programme delivery.
  • Support the development of communication materials (e.g. posters, EDM visuals, internal announcements) to promote learning initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, formatting, and user experience across materials.
  • Conduct basic research and content synthesis to support programme and material development.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support related to design requests and project timelines (where required).

What we are looking for

  • Interest or experience in visual design, graphic design, or educational material development
  • Passion for adult learning and training programme design
  • Strong visual communication and design thinking skills
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities
  • Interest in user experience design and improving learner engagement
  • Kindly note that the minimal commitment period is 12 weeks/3 months
