What you will be working on
- Conduct routine biological testing independently, including cell-based assays, HPLC, LC-MS, CGE, PCR or quantitative PCR and ELISA techniques.
- Operate, maintain and calibrate analytical instruments to ensure optimal performance and accuracy of testing equipment.
- Participate in proficiency testing programmes to maintain laboratory standards and competency.
- Maintain documentation and quality systems in accordance with ISO17025 standards and relevant international guidelines
- Contribute to procedural documentation including standard operating procedures and laboratory manuals.
- Monitor environmental conditions, equipment functionality, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance.
- Provide administrative support for procurement activities, inventory management, and consumables coordination.
- Support method development, work improvement initiatives, and R&D projects as assigned.
What we are looking for
- Background in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry or related scientific disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years laboratory experience.
- Proficiency in techniques such as ELISA, capillary gel electrophoresis, cell culture, liquid chromatography and mass spectrophotometry, or PCR and digital quantitative PCR.
- Working knowledge of ISO17025 standards and quality management systems or Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Experience in laboratory instrumentation operation, maintenance, and calibration.
- Independent working capability with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
- Organisational skills for supporting laboratory operations and administrative duties.
