Architect – Contract

You will be involved in the design management of HDB public housing projects, to create quality homes and living environments for all.

a) Project Director (Design) Your responsibilities include conducting design feasibility studies to assess the potential of development sites, design visioning, coordinating and formulating design briefs, provide guidance to HDB’s multi-disciplinary teams of consultants in the implementation of public housing projects. You are to providing good design critique of consultant’s proposals in accordance to design vision/s, their adherence to internal and external stakeholders’ requirements, as well as to resolve all technical design issues. b) Leading Technical Drafting Office Candidates who have experience in running a technical drafting office, organising and managing the technical drafting office workflow to ensure timely submissions for Client’s clearances at various project stages (i.e. Planning submissions, Building Plan submissions, consistency of Tender Drawings / Documentation, spotting of non-compliances to HDB design requirements and prevailing building codes / requirements etc. will be an advantage.

You should possess a Master’ Degree in Architecture recognised by the Board of Architects Singapore, with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience in Architectural design projects and / or leading technical drafting teams. Registration with the Board of Architects Singapore and familiarity with Corenet X process management would be beneficial and an advantage. You should have good interpersonal communication skills, an effective team player, and who enjoys working with multi-disciplinary teams of professionals and consultants, and able to work independently and effectively to deliver the project/s with high quality design outcomes and on time.
