What you will be working on
Co-led by Sport Singapore and Singapore Sports School (SSP), you will be part of a journey to support the vision for the next bound to build new capabilities for high performance sport and better integrate our programmes/policies to strengthen support for youth to senior athletes, and youth-to-senior transition.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing injury mitigation strategies through the assessment and analysis of athletes’ musculoskeletal profiles. You will also provide evidence based, age appropriate and safe interventions for athletes recovering from injuries. Collaborating with different disciplines to translate complex physiological and physical data into clear, actionable insights to support coaches and athletes in optimising training, recovery, and competition performance.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessment to evaluate athletes’ injury status and identify possible factors that may be contributing to their current status.
• Design, prescribe, and monitor individualised treatment plans on subjective and objective assessments, enabling the athlete to recover in a timely manner.
• Develop, deliver and analyse data from sports specific screening to deliver evidence-based injury mitigation as well as performance enhancement recommendations for fellow co-workers, coaches as well as athletes.
• Educate and empower athletes to make informed decisions regarding their training, recovery, and performance preparation.
• Stay current with advances in sport science and sport medicine research and contribute to the development and implementation of injury mitigation practices as well as treatment and rehab protocols.
• Work closely with coaches and multidisciplinary sport science and sport medicine teams to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to athlete development.
• Proficiency in conducting and interpreting both subjective and objective assessment especially in musculoskeletal clinical setting as well as onsite at a sporting field.
• Experience in setting realistic long- and short-term rehab goals for injured clients, monitoring their progress during the rehab process.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders and the community. This individual should be a sport advocate through living an active lifestyle and staying active.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
• Background in Physiotherapy recognised by Allied Health Professions Council (Singapore)
• Strength & Conditioning professional certification is an advantage
• First Aid and CPR/AED certified
• Proficiency in conducting and interpreting both subjective and objective assessment especially in musculoskeletal clinical setting as well as onsite at a sporting field.
• Experience in setting realistic long- and short-term rehab goals for injured clients, monitoring their progress during the rehab process.
