What the role is

We are seeking a dedicated Product Configuration Specialist to serve as a key liaison between business operations and technical systems. In this important role, you will facilitate smooth product implementations and support sales processes across multiple channels, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions.
Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between business needs and system capabilities, whilst continuously working to improve our processes to meet changing requirements. This position requires a balanced combination of business understanding and technical knowledge.

What you will be working on

Product Management and Configuration:

  • Gather and assess business unit requirements for sales and campaigns, providing guidance on implementation feasibility within current systems

  • Execute product configurations and updates for sales across OTC, B2C, and B2B channels, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

  • Address product-related issues promptly, delivering practical support and effective solutions to maintain operational continuity

Project Involvement and System Enhancement:

  • Identify and recommend practical solutions and technical alternatives, supporting project and system improvement initiatives

  • Contribute actively to project planning and system enhancement discussions, bringing both business and technical perspectives

  • Represent business user interests during User Acceptance Testing and implementation activities, ensuring requirements are properly addressed

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work effectively across business and technical domains, providing valuable insights from both perspectives. You should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment, with the capacity to think both strategically and practically. You will engage constructively with business teams on solution development whilst also managing the technical aspects of product configuration.

What we are looking for

Qualifications:

  • Polytechnic diploma in Business, Information Technology, Tourism, or related field; OR

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in administrative, operational, customer service, or system-related roles

  • Demonstrated ability to work with business processes and stakeholder interaction

Core Competencies:

  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities

  • Proactive self-starter with ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

  • Customer service orientation and eagerness to learn new systems and processes

  • Ability to follow procedures whilst working independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, or travel industry

  • Understanding of business processes within the tourism industry

  • Experience with database systems, business applications, or system configuration

  •  Familiarity with OTC, B2C, and B2B sales channels

  • Basic project coordination or support experience

  • Proficiency in product configuration and management systems
